The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances. His focus is on mopping robots and vacuum combinations. Multitaskers are a great option for those who wish to cross mopping off the to-do list. Some have great mapping and obstacle avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free cleaning.
The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than other options on this list which makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. vacuum bot has a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery in mid-clean.
It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one pass. Its suction motor of 8,000pa is quick at picking up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help to tease out dirt from corners.
The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by much. The mop rotates at a high velocity and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly cleaning up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to get into tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to pick up larger debris like books and broken toys.
Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It doesn't produce as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for mopping, and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's easy to install and performs well however this is something that you'll need to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for an efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine.
The device has an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and locate furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean effectively and effectively. This will result in an efficient, consistent clean which is also relatively quick.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other hard to reach spots. They also come with a stretchy side brush that can be extended to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and can be dried to reduce odors and prevent buildup.
App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction intensity and choose a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes, which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and rug.
This device is expensive but it comes with a lot of smart features. It is important to note, however, that the device incurs periodic costs in the form of mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For instance brushrolls need to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad needs to be replaced every one to three months.
This robot vacuum mop is a top Amazon rating and includes many physical automation features. These include the power button that serves as a general "Clean' button and a 'Home button that sends it back to its base station once it has completed its cleaning session. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the trash bin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be a good option for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home neat without spending too much time doing chores. It is a powerful machine with intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home tidy with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a two-in-one mop and vacuum. It can do both vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot has two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping system with microfiber pads that snap in and out of place. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming but it does mean that you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.
Our test subjects found that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its precise floorplan, which it uses to determine a route when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option of setting "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers that help to shield specific areas of your home from being swept with mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of picking up pet hair. It was able capture a lot of the hair our cats shed, and even got into some of the corners and crevices of our stairs, where other robots struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low and there were lovely jingles that inform you that it was beginning and finishing its work.
The app was too easy and you had to alter the modules every time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app can't contain multiple maps, which could be a problem if you have a home with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for a smart robot that is capable of mopping and vacuuming.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our test, but it comes with some distinctive features that make it worth a look. The X1 Omni's main draw is its enormous dock that serves as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a clean sink and the 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.
The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start cleaning or recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a great feature for parents worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.
The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to spot obstacles and furniture in its path. It will avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with obstacles, like a power cord draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and stops working until you remove it manually. While this was rare but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert in its application.
The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad, except that the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between use. This can cause mildew and mold.
On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a major contrast to the utilitarian, black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing view in a market that is dominated by bulky, boxy units.
